Meet Kerry
Meet Kerry Bailey,
Magneti’s New Senior Client Strategist!
If you’ve spent any time with Kerry, you already know two things: she is exceptionally thoughtful, and she cares deeply about the work she does and the people she does it for. A born-and-bred Londoner with a storyteller’s heart and a strategist’s brain, Kerry brings creativity, warmth, and sharp insight to everything she touches at Magneti.
We asked Kerry a few questions so you can get to know her a little better.
What drew you to Magneti?
“When I first learned about Magneti, I saw a talented, creative, genuinely smart, and lovely group of people who were deeply passionate about doing great work — the kind that actually makes a difference for the clients and businesses we serve.”
For Kerry, it wasn’t just about joining another agency. It was about joining a team that believes marketing should move businesses forward and impact real people in meaningful ways.
When did you realize you loved marketing?
Her origin story begins with a teddy bear.
As a teenager, Kerry’s youngest brother (then a toddler) lost his beloved teddy while out shopping. The devastation was immediate and dramatic. After several sleepless nights in the Bailey household, Kerry approached a reporter at her local newspaper and pitched a Paddington-style “Have you seen this bear?” story.
The paper ran it.
Public interest was immediate and overwhelmingly adorable. And shortly after, Teddy was returned home safely.
“It was an early lesson in the power of storytelling, the reach of media, and how marketing, when paired with heart, can have very real-world results.”
We’d say that’s a pretty strong start to a career.
Is there an ad that has always stuck with you?
Unless you grew up in the early 2000s UK, a gorilla drumming along to Phil Collins’ In the Air Tonight might sound slightly surreal. But it was a wildly popular Cadbury Dairy Milk commercial—and Kerry loved it.
“Yes, it’s a gorilla playing the drums. But beyond that, it was incredibly effective.”
At the time, Cadbury was navigating challenging PR issues. The strange, joyful, simple ad helped shift public perception and profits in a major way. It was proof that creativity doesn’t have to be complicated to be powerful.
Another early brand she fell in love with was Innocent Drinks. Their tone, playful language, and cheeky guerrilla marketing left a lasting impression. One year, they mailed mistletoe to their entire subscriber list at Christmas.
“Such a small, clever gesture, but unforgettable.”
For Kerry, it reinforced that personality and originality can be just as impactful as big budgets.
Do you have a favorite project you’ve worked on?
“There are so many,” she says, “but the one I’m probably most proud of was crushing nurse recruitment goals for a pediatric home health care provider during the height of the pandemic.”
The campaign was innovative, heartfelt, and a true team effort. It went on to win multiple awards. More importantly, it helped families and clinicians during an incredibly critical time.
For Kerry, that’s what great marketing does, it delivers measurable results while making a real difference.
You’re from England. What do you miss most? And what surprised you about the U.S.?
“Greggs sausage rolls. Then family. In that order.”
We appreciate the honesty.
Kerry misses Sunday roasts in cozy pubs, wandering London markets, ducking into museums on a whim, and being able to hop over to another country for a quick weekend trip.
What surprised her most about the U.S.?
“How deeply I’ve been able to find community here.”
Despite being far from home, she’s built meaningful friendships and a life filled with belonging, something she didn’t fully expect when she made the move.
Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met?
There is, apparently, a somewhat strange story involving Paul McCartney and a parrot.
We’re working on getting the full version.
If you had a podcast, what would it be about?
Books. Absolutely books.
Years ago, Kerry worked with UK publishing houses and ran a bookish podcast where she interviewed authors, reviewed book-to-film adaptations, and enthusiastically dissected childhood classics like Sweet Valley High.
Highbrow? Debatable. Passionate? Always.
If you had to disappear somewhere, where would you go?
“A clifftop country cottage somewhere in the UK. Dramatic sea views. Strong tea. Chickens. And absolutely no Wi-Fi.”
It sounds idyllic, though we suspect Magneti might stage an intervention.
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
“Protect your energy.”
“You only have so much to give in a day. When you protect your energy for the things that truly matter, life becomes lighter, clearer, and far more joyful.”
And if you could give potential clients one piece of marketing advice?
“Give your marketing team every opportunity to truly embed themselves in your business.”
Let them shadow. Let them ask questions. Let them understand your processes inside and out.
“The most impactful marketing isn’t just creative, it’s strategic. It’s grounded in a real understanding of how your business operates and what your goals are.”
Kerry believes a great client-service professional should be able to stand in for their client at a sales conference at a moment’s notice because they know the business that well.
“That level of partnership,” she says, “is where the magic happens.”

And if you’ve worked with Kerry, you already know she means it.
