Meet Becca, our new Digital Marketing Specialist! We’re excited for you to work with and get to know her.

What is your favorite part about living in Denver?
I love being in a city that is big enough to always be exploring, but small enough that it’s not overwhelming. It’s also nice to feel close to everything. The mountains, my parents, Boulder, Fort Collins (where I went to college, Go Rams), the airport, it’s all within an hour or less.

In case you’re wondering my least favorite part is the parking tickets.

What drew you to Magneti?
The possibility of working on something new and different every day, especially with a team that knows how to work hard and play hard!

What languages do you know how to speak?
I speak English and Spanish fluently, but also can speak basic Portuguese (I keep learning and growing!) and I’ve dabbled in Italian and Hebrew.

If you could invent a color, what would it look like and what would it be called?
It would be called “Copper Sunset” and would essentially be a mix of all the fall colors, red, yellow, orange, and a tinge of brown (well, copper).

Where is the last place you went for the first time?
This year I went to New Orleans for the first time and LOVED it! The unique culture, amazing food, genuine people and countless hidden gems make it feel almost like discovering another country. And there’s music everywhere!

If you had one extra hour in the day, what would you do with it?
Probably read more or cook more. Or read about cooking more?

If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
Probably sewing. There are so many times when I which I could just make my own alterations, fix a ripped seam, or whip up an outfit from nothing in true Project Runway fashion.

What is the best gift anyone’s ever given to you?
I once casually and sarcastically mentioned to my brother that I wanted a baby bear for my birthday. Months later on my birthday I opened up his gift to find that he had symbolically adopted a baby bear at The Wildlife Animal Sanctuary for me (her name was Kelty), and I received a framed picture of her and certificate, along with updates every month for a year about Kelty and how she was doing. I just thought it was so thoughtful of him to remember that random comment and creatively make it come to life, also while donating towards an awesome cause like that in my name.

What song best describes your life?
Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader (I’m definitely a night owl and will take any excuse for a dance party).

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
To cook bacon in the oven, not on the stovetop. The bacon is perfect every time and doesn’t splatter grease all over the place. It’s seriously a total game changer and I will never go back.

If you had to be handcuffed to one person for an entire month, who would it be?
One of my best friends who I’ve known since second grade, Kylie. We laugh like nobody’s business, both love to sleep, and are always late to our own plans, so I think it would work out nicely. As long as we could still buy our own snacks.
